Don't you love walking out of an exam with one half completed question, only to figure out how to do it 20 seconds later?

...Yeah, it was the cos(2x) = pi/4 one. Big mind blank at the end and just couldn't think. I fould what cos(x) was sin(x) were, but just spaced out and forgot that cis(x) = cos(x) + isin(x). Had the answer and didn't even know it!!! Do they ignore what you've written if you've lightly scribbled over the answer and working? I got frustrated..(idiot..)

yeh u had to use double angle formula to find sin(x) and cos(x). i used 1 - 2sin^2(x) and 2cos^2(x) - 1 to find these values.
same..i only used 1 - 2sin^2(x) tho.

Sub value of x and y given in 2nd part into equation given in question.

EDIT: I think i got 0.4 for Eulers >_<
