Choosing a course based purely on enter is baseless and stupid. The number one requirement (assuming u have a high enough enter in the first place) is to have a general interest in the course u want to do.

Given that a course's ENTER is based on demand, it's as retarded as buying Britney Spears simply because everyone else is buying Britney Spears.

....

People actually buy Britney Spears songs/CDs these days??? Why wasn't I aware of this...
1,2,3 peter paul and mary, 180 degrees and im caught in between singing...

(sorry, it's catchy =.=*)

i feel like i should do arts/law at monash instead of straight arts at melb if i get the enter, but living in clayton is so unappealing... bring on melbourne uni and carlton (except i get the feeling straight arts students are generally hated- gah i hate decisions!!)

Why would arts students be hated?

i guess because they only have something like 13 contact hours a week and as a result have a lot of time to piss around and generally have fun and be social = resent from dissatisfied students working their ass off in more demanding 'prestigious' courses... but i really don't have any idea

But you still have to spend many hours doing reading and writing essays...that is, if you can be bothered to do your tutorial readings.

YOU SELFISH KIDS SHOULD GO FOR THE HIGHEST COURSE YOU CAN
every enter place higher you got you took away from some other hard working kid
you took away his opportunity and then you squander it.
even if he gets it in the end because you don't go for it, he has got a lower enter.
you are bad people and you should all feel bad.
your own interests are irrelevant to mine aslong as i'm in competition with youu

Wait, wouldn't you rather take away the opportunity of a kid who "worked hard" for a 85.0 versus someone who worked hard for a 95.0? So high ENTER students should hit courses with lower clearly-ins :)

Eh.

My first preference (after ENTERS coming out) was Melb Eng (85), then Melb Science (85) then Melb Commerce (95).
Would've done a teaching course at Monash (ENTER probably around 80's) but my parents forbade me from putting teaching down as a course.
