Bah I hate the way VCAA works. They should give us our results which are not as vague as a letter grade T__T then we can spot errors (if they ever happen...) much more easier
but then how would they make money on statement of marks? D:
I think it's to compensate for the lack of funding they receive from the government. Also, I think the letter grades mean that VCAA will receive a lot less angry complaints because there is less transparency involved, if that makes much sense.
Additionally, if you don't get the mark(s) you want, the letter grade looks much better than the actual mark. For example:
UG, E, E+
would look better on the paper than:
1/50, 14/80, 16/80 - as an example.
