Would anyone be able to tell me which past papers were relatively hard or easy?
I know that there are probably many different opinions on this, but I'd like to work out some sort of order for doing them :)
Thanks!
Remember, remember the 5th of November

2011 - Eng - Phys - Chem - Spesh - Latin - UMAT

You don't need an order to do exams in.

The easiest papers are the VCAA ones, and many external company exams contain questions that are irrelevant, especially iTute.
2009
~ Methods (Non-CAS) [48 --> 49.4]

2010
~ Spesh [50 --> 51.6]
~ Physics [50 --> 50]
~ Chem [43 --> 46.5]
~ English [46 --> 46.2]
~ UMEP Maths [5.0]

2010 ATAR: 99.90
Aggregate 206.8

I was thinking more along the lines of trying some easier ones now or in the next few months,
then doing the rest leading up to the end of the year. But I get what you mean :)

VCAA past exams were by far the easiest. NEAP is pretty good ( in terms of relevance) and tends to add in 1-2 tricky questions here and there.
I don't remember the rest too well...

So, what you'll be actually doing in the exam is a lot easier (content-wise) than what you'll be doing for practice?

if your doin prac exams from companies such as neap and itute, then yes the exam would be easier/less tricky...more straight forward questions :P

It's easier but for most people, the stress of doing the "real" exam can easily make you miss things that you normally wouldn't. It's not like VCAA can't give you hard exams. They could give you one that is more difficult than any practice one you have ever done and that + stress could be pretty disastrous :P

I found that VCAA were the easiest. Insight is supposed to model VCAA exam standard. Kilbaha and MAV are often difficult, sometimes having irrelevant content. Neap are always difficult ones (or most of the time). Itute - haven't done many but I don't think they are as popular as the others anyway. Heffernan - is about VCAA standard, sometimes has weird wording.

You should probably save VCAA for last and practice your skills on the other exam papers. This way you can get a real indicator of performance on your VCAA ones.
Raw Scores:

ATAR: 99.75

That's why I threw in the "content-wise".

It wasn't a direct response to your post, otherwise I would have quoted you.

( suggesting that it doesn't necessarily have to be easier "content-wise")

The rest is just me blabbering on about my experiences ( which i'm sure i'm allowed to do? )

I get the impression that you feel I'm criticizing you (which I'm not, it was just an off-handed comment during my quick VN thread check); if so, I apologize. While you did not quote me directly, my post was the only one between the two of yours, so I don't see how I could have made any other inference.

And your input is certainly valuable, I pray that you dismiss any suggestion that I think otherwise.

Mmm iTute was so hard that out of the 4 iTute exams I did, I couldn't finish 2 of them in the 2 hours limit, and there wasn't any other exam I couldn't complete in the time limit. If I remember correctly, the exam that took the shortest was TSSM 2007 Exam 2.

I was thinking more along the lines of trying some easier ones now or in the next few months,
then doing the rest leading up to the end of the year. But I get what you mean :)

I didn't start practice exams until the September holidays, and I still got 30 done. But that's not going to work this year =(
