Biology isn't easy and I was shocked re: my score and evolution just goes on forever and makes you want to die.
That said, I hate physics and would have gotten an SS of two.

Choose wisely!

i get a lot of conflicting reports on bio though.  like the A+ cutoff for last years exam 1 was 80%.  imo that is very generous, especially after having done further where the exam 1 a+ cutoff was like 37/40.

Regarding that, Further is a right or wrong answer based exam.
In Biology, if you miss a key word or phrase something incorrectly, then you lose marks.  And you need to make sure you're answering every part of a question and it is often very illusive.
Also, it's a lot easier to memorize specific mathematical techniques than it is conflicting biological terms and theories.

^the thing that annoys me most about physics is the detailed study thing.  why can't everyone just do the same questions.  how is it fair that some people do some questions, whilst others do other questions.

they are all supposed to be of equal difficulty, but that is the key word "supposed" to be of equal difficulty.  it doesn't mean they always are.

do you know how many marks you lost on exams mavis?

true, sound and structures are the easiest detailed studies. Pick them if you want to have an advantage.

yeah just like further, totally blows...

....and i'm not sure about unit 4 crappy, but i think for unit 3 we are doing Einstein's theory of relativity.

If you aren't happy with what your school chooses for detailed study for Further/Physics, can't you just learn another (or all) on your own and do the easiest questions :P

^haha

typical i get to do the harder one.

i really only wan't to do five subjects, but i've go no idea what to drop.  :(

maybe i should pick up a bio textbook tommorow and read it over the weekend, and try out an exam and see how i go.
if i get like over 75-80 on the whole exam just by studying for a few days, then i could probably get it up into the 90's with practice and hard work...

thoughts?

also is heinemann the best?

@ superfly

nah i don't board, i'm just going to tafe for vce :P

yeah i did that for further, but it will be a pain to do that for physics because physics is hard lol...
