It can be pretty hard to find individual books, but you could get lucky by googling them.

Most of the stuff is on torrent sites however. A long time ago I torrented about 10GB of maths and physics books and when I looked through them I found 5 books which I might need for university.

There are two torrents out there: Physics Complete and Maths Complete. I have them both and there is some interesting stuff in there.
There is Gigapedia for individual books.

whats the site name..
and what is torrent?

Download "BitTorrent" (the downloading application) and "Peerblock" (hides your IP if you download copyrighted material).
Then go to a torrent site like ThePirateBay or just google: "math torrents"
Then click download torrent and it will begin to download.
Two things: Beware of fake torrents - always check the comments before you download, and only torrents that have a good number of 'seeds' will download fast enough.

Try www.studytemple.com/forum

The links there are pretty much all rapidshare/megaupload and so on, so it's generally more reliable than torrenting where most textbooks don't even have any seeders. However, there is still many outdated links unfortunately. The site focuses mainly on health science textbooks, but there's plenty of maths, IT, business etc. ones too. But yeh, don't think the site has the book you're looking for hard.
