Staff rooms, no one would know the difference if you act confident enough.

When questioned, say you are a Ph.D. student or something.

Get connections to a club with a microwave in their room. I started bringing lunch most days to save money.

And lamb kebab (or lamb with chicken; it costs the same) from the place under Hargrave is win. Messy as hell to eat though.

That microwave, I swear, is fucking feral.

Yeah, follow shinny's advice. If you join the right club's committee, often one of the perks is usage of their microwave.

yeah thats what i was talking about... Meeting Point sushi...vomit... i know all the first year kids go to that place....but seriously don't...lol
peri peri- ... i used to get food there all the time in 1st year...but after a while the chicken started to taste disgusting to me...stringy and like fake..chicken..
fish and chips- lol probably because thats the only fish and chip shop!

no i like asian noodles!... well the one that cost like 6.90 or something...i haven't tried the upstairs place...full of asians..lol
the kitchen- their wedges a pretty nice
wholefoods!!! -- yuuck... lol i have a friend whose OBSESSED with that place...sigh..lol
pizza shop- way overpriced

kebab shop-- mmm not that great souvlaki...

never had food at the den oO .... is it really good? what do they sell?

the end is LOL

I like the $5.90 small servings @ the meeting point asian place... no, I haven't gone upstairs either.

Yes, the pizza shop is ridiculously overpriced (but then again, so is all the food at Monash... the closest off-campus food is McDonalds... for students who don't have a car, it isn't exactly convenient... thus, they all monopolise.... I mean, $6 for a sandwich? Hello?!)

I actually like the HA library kebab shop... I haven't been there since they started rising prices though (and since my classes have all been in med/education/menzies/rotunda/S1 buildings... I'm not walking that far for a kebab).

I got food poisoning from the kebab I ate at The Den, and have not eaten anything there since (I didn't much like their pasta either, when I ordered that once).

Speaking of The Den... I don't drink coffee... but their hot chocolate is wonderful (especially compared to the overpriced shit HQ sells... it's cheaper and much nicer).

Yes, there's one upstairs in The Kitchen, there are two or three downstairs near The Deli (they're amongst the tables directly opposite Commonwealth Bank), and there's one in the Internash Student Lounge. There are usually lines if you go at lunch time... especially just after the hour (just after 12 or just after 1), since this is when everyone has just finished class and wants to eat their lunch.

(This is all in campus centre, btw)

Out of interest, how is the food at Wholefoods? I want to keep my healthy eating habits at uni but I certainly don't want to eat rubbish quality or tasteless stuff.

Join law soc and get free beer and sausages every fortnight or so. There's usually a free sausage sizzle somewhere on campus if you look for it. But if you want something that's on par with what's in the city and also non-carcinogenic, then once again, no. I just bring food from home now. Saves so much money D:
