Revision for Midyear Exam, NEAP vs TSFX.

If anyone'd been to their workshop/previous VCE lectures (esp. bio), please comment on this program.
Effective? Worth the price? Rather go somewhere else? Anything :D

I'm tossed between attending Biology revision lecture at TSFX or NEAP.
The thought of choosing NEAP just popped in my head now since I already have some unit 3 materials from TSFX..
I haven't hear a lot about NEAP except the fact that they're very challenging.

So umm, yeah. Thoughts and comments would be awesome (on either programs) :)
It'll help me and others out there who are considering the same thing as I am.
Cheers!

Hmm well my Spesh teacher said this: "The point of these revision lectures is to cram, and the worst way to cram is to have someone else do it for you instead of you finding out where your weakpoints are."

Thats exactly what my belief is!!! and exactly what I say ! OMG
Anyways...yes, look the lectures are like 2 - 3 weeks before the real deal..and if youre not ready by then..
theres little you can do really.

That doesn't answer my question but yeah thanks for that. My teacher said similar thing along the line of identifying and improve on your weak points.

I just think revision lectures as another way to get answers to any queries/problems you have.
Since it's around two weeks before the exam, people would have done sufficient revision by then anyway, hopefully.
Then there's the lecture to help you fill in the little gaps you have. I don't think it's entirely useless.

Same here, I don't think it's entirely useless. Even though you may know a lot of the content, there just might be something, something miniscule that you might pick up and help you for your exams :P

Yeah. It's always good to go through the materials again in any way possible, information is ingrained in your mind furthermore. For me anyway x)

Haha yeah exactly :P
Oh and referring to your topic, I think perhaps you should try NEAP- I haven't been before, but I've been to TSFX and they weren't that great. I guess it depends if you're lucky or not in getting a good or bad lecturer!

Yes. they are worth it, especially to pick up those little things that you didn't know before...even if you are an A+ student.

It's not like it's going to make you dumber or anything.

Lectures aren't always for cramming

Yeah the lecturer is extremely important.
I went to a revision TSFX lecture before, but now  looking at other alternatives.

yeahh I'm thinking of going to that free one at Vic Uni as I have all the notes from last year for psych. Wonder when they'll begin it.
