Planned your strategy?

1. What are you planning to do in reading time? i.e. do some multi choice or short ans?
2. Which section you going to do first?

I'm doing mc in reading time. Then just working through from start to finish. If something looks hard I'll leave it then come back when I'm done. Maybe not the best strategy, but it works for me :) This way I usually finish an exam in like 30-45 mins, then feel like there's no pressure when I go back and do the "hard" questions.

No.

I tend to read the short answer to get an understanding of what they are talking about. Then i get a sense of what is hard, what is not. I tackle easy ones. Completely ignoring hard ones. Its foolhardy to do MC first i think, such a small proportion of marks and sometimes require a heck of a lot of time.

No.

1. What are you planning to do in reading time? i.e. do some multi choice or short ans?
2. Which section you going to do first?

1. Thoroughly read short answer questions. Then read/skim through multiple choice depending on time remaining.

2. I'm really not sure. I tend to take a while on multiple choice so maybe I'll hit that first?..

Start MC in reading time, hopefully knock them all off in the first 15 mins of writing time, then short answer go go go!

So far I've been doing the exam in chronological order since that's how I did Methods, but I'll give starting with short answer first a try.
2009

2010
~ Spesh [50 --> 51.6]
~ Physics [50 --> 50]

yeah, I just realised that this the first real exam I've done which hasn't been either all short answer or all multiple choice...

I want to go for short answer first, but having already read over multi in reading time.

This way give me an insanely long exam and I can get the most points from short answer while still being able to randomly guess Multi, not sure if I will ever need to do it though (hope not)

i go short ans during reading time....only short ans.....then do the short ans chronologically, skipping the hard questions, but reading them first and giving them half a go. Then, go back, do the hard questions, if i still can't do them, move onto mc. Sometimes something in the mc can trigger the ans to one of the hard questions you couldn;t do. then back to focuss onto the hard extended response.

a note tho, i've neva finished with more than 5 mins to spaare....is this a god or bad thing?

I just work cover to cover normally. Seems to be working fine so far. Don't you find it a little disconcerting to be jumping around everywhere like a Mexican jumping bean, andrewloppol?
