Feel free to critique the answers and such. I do make mistakes in these things, particularly when rushed.
for q 6 wouldnt you need to make reference to specific hemispheres b/c of coffee in her right hand ie left parietal lobe somatosensory cortex?

would you get penalized one mark if you didnt write about obtaining consent from parents in goodeshes study b/c the age of students aren't given they could be like 20 yrs olds or something?

It's stated that they are in year 9, so it would be reasonable to assume that most of the kids are under the age of 18.

11 D is impossible it says voluntary muscles that control internal organs, answer has to be C

I believe the students were under 18 in the question on purpose, so I'm pretty sure that yes if you didn't mention parental consent, I'd say that you won't get full marks.

Hey,

for q13b, i put the students normal amount of sleep, because different normal levels of sleep can affect different amounts of sleep deprivation. e.g. suppose person X has 10 hours normal sleep, and person Y has 5 hours normal sleep. If they are sleep deprived 3 hrs, person X will still have more sleep and be less sleep deprived than person Y. is tat right?

well the question wanted to control a participant characteristic that could affect the results , and I think that your answer makes sense (people with sleep deprivation would have impaired hand eye coordination) so it's possible that you could get the marks for it.

So basically, you'd match students who had between 1-3, 4-6, 7-9. That's an interesting one. You'd had to explain how you'll go about doing that an why that's important, but I think you might get something out of that.

Its because the question is asking how would you control experimenter expectations, and that would be with a double blind procedure. D is wrong as Matched-participants control participant expectations and using a single blind procedure will not eliminate experimenter expectations
