As time passes, I'm sure we'll see all these errors ironed out and we'll be up to speed with Monash.

nahhhhhh.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I can't swap out of my classes - it comes up with an error msg. I'm stressed :(

Mine often gave me an error but made the change anyway?

Don't stress too much it's only been a couple of days, you've got a while yet to make changes.

They allowed me to register in classes for MBB2 today.
Lucky I wanted a 9am tutorial on a Monday.

I hope you get a good tutor. My tutor for the first semester was soooo bad - made us stay for the whole 2 hours every week to yap about how much she hated yogurt.

There's been a new email going around to science students saying that we can change our subjects via the study plan.  I can't seem to do that.  Has anyone been successful?

Well, I just got access to some internet and have registered into most of my classes...
Can't register into two lab classes yet because they are currently unavailable.

My timetable isn't 100% confirmed though because I still have to decide whether or not I want to stick with my elective.

I have, but I changed my subjects before the timetable opened. Use the withdraw button at the bottom to delete a subject and the enrol button to add one.

Won't work if you have sanctions though :(

I watched the video and they have just check boxes to change subjects.  I don't have any check/tick boxes.  This study plan is so phayl for me.

EDIT:  The video mislead me.  When I watched it, I thought you had to add your subject in first then withdraw from the subject you don't want.  Instead, I followed Russ' method of withdrawing and then adding and it worked.  Of course Russ' method is the most logical, but from the video I'm not too sure.

So it worked for you?
I remember being confused by the video as well. I think you use the check boxes for future years (ie where you don't already have a subject selected)

Or, far more likely, uni stuffed up.

Yes, it worked for me after I followed your method - ie. withdraw from the subject you don't want, then add the subject you want (not the other way around like the video pre-empted).

After thinking about it, yeah, I think the check boxes are for next year and following years when we have no subjects selected.  It makes sense now.

Mine is so confusing because in Media Comm, you choose one of two pathways and it's showing both but it's MUDDLED ALL MY SUBJECTS into core and non core categories it's too hard to understand D:
And it's still not open yet.

The tree is pretty confusing but try collapsing all the branches and open up only the ones you really want to see.  In some cases, it might be a bit clearer but if you're still having difficulties, you can try bug your Student Centre.

I think I will just avoid using it as often as possible!
I already know which pathway I have chosen, so hopefully the other one will disappear soon and it won't be ridiculously messy and telling me I p. much have to complete like 484923 credit points for my degree.
