I get mine on Wednesday, you get yours on your first day there. If you're away until the 17th, that's when you can pick it up.

And as for meeting, Union House (2nd floor) is the place where everything is organized from (but don't worry, you'll see a whole lot of students in yellow T-Shirts, just follow them)

We're underwritten by the union apparently, so we actually run at a loss. But yeah, if you want to volunteer please do :)

Same link as above!

I volunteered for this a couple of years ago. As far as summer lecture series go, MUVCESS is definitely a lot cheaper than the other stuff that's out there. But I've always wanted to know, where does the $160  that the students contribute go? Because all the tutors are student volunteers, and I'm guessing that printing costs a great deal less than that amount. And there's NAB as sponsors as well. Unless the University charges a heap for rent and utilities (:P like I mean it got really hot a few days when I was there and they couldn't give us air-con because it was central)

I think the uni probably charges a fair bit...I mean hiring rooms all over campus is probably going to add up pretty fast. I suppose some of it could also be used to contribute to the residential costs

VCESS10 was great, I loved it. I would volunteer to tutor in the future, but my scores and understanding of subjects wouldn't suffice.

They don't look at your scores, just your personality and communication skills. You get given all the content you need to teach, so volunteer next year!

9 days to go, guys! Looking forward to meeting some of you. :)

.

I'm not too sure. My confirmation letter lists Renaissance on there, but I don't know if there's going to be an actual class yet. We'll see at pre-enrolment day, I suppose. :)

I was with VCESWOT last year but I didn't end up lecturing or tutoring because the times clashed. They'll take applications midyear but they're much smaller than VCESS so you'd have to be pretty proactive about volunteering.
