Well... 5 marks lost over both exams in 2009 was ~43?

wouldve been higher?? dont think 1 mark = >1 ss score drop?

Nah, I reckon it would've been 45-46, maybe even 47. But I'm not sure...

kinda saying spec = relatively easier than further (kinda)

Thats just based on a student from last year getting 43 with -5, exam was incredibly easy though.

I meant his ranking - the part which matters. The raw mark itself has no bearing on the moderated score.

Based on the stats, by losing up to 12.5 marks (2.5 from GA2 and 10 from GA3) that renders the lowest possible A+, i.e. ~38. Thereby losing 5 marks which is 60% less 12.5 marks, that would mean the top 60% of the 10% that are granted an A+ lose less then 5 marks. So the top 6% of the state lost a maximum of 5 marks which will mean if you do lose 5 marks, you will get an SS of 43 or 44 so statistically speaking that is right
