Pen only on end of year?

Does anyone officially know that you can't use pencil? Especially if we're asked to do graphs/energy profiles in case we make a mistake

Mid year said "write in blue or black pen or pencil"

End of year cover says "write in blue or black pen"

Edit: I used pen in mid year but am worried because the instruction message has changed

yeah our teachers contacted them about this...
it's because they're doing the scanning it page by page thing for chem so it's NO pencil.
our teachers said how graphs and calculations require pencil...they then sent a letter back saying they tested all types of pencils and they're just not good for the scanning.
graphs and all it's fair enough but unless you write really sharply and dark (not light or the pencil won't scan at all)
then we're meant to just use pen.

I say draw the graph in pencil, and if your sure what you have done is right go over it in pen.

Inside the instruction front cover it says 'Write using black or blue pen.'....'Write' -> does this mean worded answers. whereas when ur working out stuff u use pencil? maybe final answer in Pen? Its ridiculous what if u get it wrong and realise?. check assesors report for mid-year. pretty sure everyone would of wrote in pencil. ...yeah assessors report says nothing of it.

yeah i used pencil on mid year. they scanned those. and mine still got marked.

if you're really paranoid, just do written answers in pen, thats what i did for physics midyear because there was quite a bit of theory in that. and maybe if uyou have time at the end write calculation answers in pen

buy some erasable pens. They are cheap from newsagents. I used them on the mid year and they worked out fine :) Then you can rub out the graphs as you please

That's a good idea. I say do this to be safe.
Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Yeah looks like its been modified.

States you can write in Blue or Black pen OR PENCIL

This upcoming novembers exam doesn't say pencil anymore.

I'm guessing its locked onto pens now, cause now they have the excuse to say 'you didn't read the instructions, we have the right to penalize you'. The pencil would still be allowed just for the multi choice.
