messy handwriting?!?!?!

ok so how much do the examiners take handwriting to consideration?

like i mean begin neatly but get worse along the way?

so i have hand issues where my stupid hand decides to "get tired" real quickly, not even writing a decent amount and will start to ache and the neatness spirals to a messy scribble.
ok i dont have neat writing anyways but if try i have to sit there and write like a snail, which will get me no where because i will forget what i want to say and waste a hell Lotta time
so how important is my writing?

My ex-tutor had notoriously messy handwriting, and I mean HORRIBLE like he didn't even have fingers. But that didn't stop him from scoring 50 in English :)
English: 46 / Literature: 42 / Legal: 40 / Methods: 37 / Spec: 33 / Chem: 31 (I regret doing this subject!)

ATAR = 97.10

I think they may be more predisposed to giving you a worse mark, but if what you write is good, you should be fine.

From one of my crazy teachers who swears he is a marker:

"They can't mark you down, but when it's 2am, and you're on your 4th cup of coffee and you just yelled at the wife to let you mark in peace, what would you rather see? Chicken scrawl or neat writing?"

LOL !

In all seriousness, it isn't supposed to affect their marking but if they have to scrutinise every second word the fluency of your piece will seem to go down and hence potentially lowering your mark..

I don't think it is... I've got awful handwriting, but I've been working on it. Trying to write with my shoulder and forearm instead of my wrist.
The only thing to worry about when it comes to messy handwriting would be like a few people have mentioned, the detrimental effect it could have on the fluency of your essay. You'd hate to have the markers stopping every five seconds when reading your essay to try and figure out what a word is >.<

I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”
