i guess its more structured so you dont have to worry about choosing too many electives and prereqs etc...
and its more focussed on human bio but this becomes less of a problem in science in 2nd and 3rd yr...
in science you have much more electives to choose from...

what do you want to do with your degree? do you know what you want to do afterwards?

At UoM this isn't entirely the case, there are subjects and a major that aren't available to science students. In general, biomedicine is just a focused science degree that's streamlined around human biology rather than general "science".

Science is much broader but if you want to do something in the health sciences, there's really not much difference and biomedicine probably offers a more focused approach

Just one, it's called Defence and Disease and it's a hybrid of pathology and immunology. I was considering it but I chose microbiology/immunology instead (and because pathology has 6 hour pracs)

that would be similar to doing immunology and human pathology at monash science  

6 hr pracs yuck...

i had 5 hr pracs for one of my immunology units... got used to it but first semester i was starving by the end of it...lol

Yeah I have a 5 hour prac next semester. That's gonna be...fun.

I want to go into the MD after (or another graduate medical program).

If not, research and a PhD
