Is this 2009 version any different from the 2010 version?

I need to know because i'm about to get the 2009 version and i'm contemplating whether i should or not.

Probably would be different. For example, could have the theory needed for another 'cone-of-death'.

I'm getting the new one.

Yep, I believe it would have some extra theory, especially after this years 3+4 exams

I'm not, I'll get it when I go to one his lectures, in the meantime I will be writing my own bound ref (using textbooks, A+ notes, etc.) and then beef it up when I get DH's book. I would recommend writing your own bound reference (especially during holiday breaks)

I see absolutely no point in writing notes for maths.
I tried it for Year 10 Tech-active...didn't even touch it, let alone the CAS...scientific all the way :)
Practice your maths, keep practising, and well....keep practising.
When you get the DHA bound reference there is space at the back to add your own notes anyway...

Why bother if getting the '11 version? Getting the '09 will probably stop you from trying to write your own reference first (which I think is bad)

Its just like buying A+ notes before reading the textbook (not a good way to study)! Just get the '11 one (that's what I am doing anyway).

1. Year 10 math is a joke, it is hard not to get <80% if you are decent at maths
2. Writing own notes (including example problems, hard problems) allows a person to add what they really have troubles with instead of an 8 page summary on functions which they may not need
3. Writing stuff down makes it easier to remember things

It's all about doing as many questions as possible.

The bound ref is good, but i looked at it once in the methods exam, and maybe twice in the spesh exam
vce: english, methods, spesh, chemistry, physics, geography.

Geez I'm so sorry if some of us struggle with maths. Keep your genius and nerd comments to yourself.

Just referring to the MHS standard (as everyone in the school passed the entrance exam, they are all at a certain level of maths). Also notice the word 'decent'.

Wouldn't effect you though iNerd...

I love to provide entertainment to my fellow VN'ers...but seriously his post was quite insulting.
