So it looks like I'm not the only one feeling the pressure to beat somebody  ;D
I must at least equal my brother who last year got 88.05 with a 154 aggregate, but I need a 157 aggregate... :(
Damn!

It is way worse in year 11 when you compete with your TWIN brother.. "oh fuck nice you got 39 for methods!!.. uh what I got 34" ..*sad face* (parents look down at you). The same will happen for this year :S

i know wat u mean man.. I've got quite a few cousins doing yr 12 that i am gonna get compared to, but i guess ur in a worser situation.

thank god i'll only be compared to my brother who didnt do that great..

Hehe, same situation :) Although my parents don't really put pressure on me. And I don't need a high ATAR for my course... I'm in a completely different situation to most, but I'm still nervous as hell.

My brother got 65 and is now an Osteopath. I suppose that's a good reminder to everyone that you are not your ATAR and can always work your way into the course that you want. He went from a course needing an ENTER of ~65 to a course needing an ENTER of ~88.

Some of you consider yourselves lucky, I'm in same boat as some of you I won't be scoring anywhere near 99+

HAHA. Yeah, I'm twin (non-identical) as well. =)

There were twins at my school in Year 12 last year, I think they both ended up getting the same score... 99.30 or something. If only that could happen to me. =p

We're basically doing the same subjects. LOL. We both did Accounting this year (yet to see who's going to win out of that... most likely him! He's better than me). I'm doing English, Methods, Chem, Legal and Latin. The only difference is that he's doing Biology instead of Legal. =p

I think it's more added pressure having a twin to compete against... especially in VCE. It has its pros and cons. So awkward, when family friends compare us. =\

What did he get for mid year? I find it funny you guys are doing almost the same subjects! Do you both want to go to the same course at Uni?

Yeah there's been pressure all year but in the end I can't beat him (he got 39 in methods last year, and doing subjects that scale up eg. Spesh, chem..) plus hes just more willing to study and I generally slack off :/.

Hes like expecting at least 95 and my highest possible score is <95 :P Dammit so nervous for Monday!!

The same as me. LOL. We both got A's - though he got an high A, compared to my mid A.

I probably do work harder than him... though that's probably me just being biased. =p I don't really know, we study the same amounts of time..

For the subjects that I do, it's really only Chem, Latin and Methods that scale. I suppose Biology and Legal only scale up by 1, so we cancel each other out. As for after VCE, we're totally different! He's more into the Science field, whereas I'm more into Commerce/Law field.

I'm not really nervous, more excited that anything. xD

I don't think anyone did more Accounting study then you, lol :P. I guess at a later stage in life we're molded by our environment and that's why you guys don't want to do the same thing (same for me). But good on you for choosing the commerce/law field! xD

Haha we're all nervous!! GL to you and your brother come results day

I'd agree with that. =P Though that being said, he revised less than me for SACs and the mid-year exam, yet beat me in nearly every SAC bar one or two (and the exam as well!) LOL. I don't know how that works.

True. We find interests in different things as we grow up! =)

Best of Luck to you and your brother as well on Monday! xD (I think we're spamming the "recent posts" thing on the bottom of the page! xD)
