I've read about half of the "The Secret River".

I only started holidays on Monday and I wouldn't worry too much if you haven't started studying. Give yourself a break from work, then in a few days/weeks (depending on the individual), you should start studying.

On a serious note, it's best for a subject like English, to read all the English texts (your school has set) before school starts again.

I've done about sixty practice essays so far because I need to make sure I get over 25. =)

Seriously though, does doing a 3 hour 1/2 english exam two days ago count?

Ah... 60 practice exam papers yet aiming for a 25+? Are you doubting and underestimating yourself, or overworking yourself..? :S

The Secret River is one of the most boring novels I've read EPL.. have fun reading it! ;)
