I am superglad its over. Now my calculator can come into good use.
(I think i might be able to get 39/40 for Exam 1). Hopefully a really nice score in exam 2(which i tend to do better in) can fix up my mistakes.....
oping for an ENTER of 99+

nice one kido! pftt, your 1 mark mistake doesn't need too much fixing!! yep, sure is good knowing that if i do good in exam 2 things aren't too bad. great thing is that in exam 2 there's more room for consequential marking!

That plane one was nice. :D

i know people who did it the other way around... 'fine given on time'(or something) instead of whatever it was.

=(
I did horribly but by the sounds of it, my entire class did bad. Only two or three students said it was easy.
I will get lots of consequential marks because I did the right working out but got wrong ansers and stupid me put 4/16 instead of 5/16 for the coffee question GRR!

in that case u wont get consequential marks. u'll get a method mark.

 like u know for the coffee question where it was worth 2 marks. 1 mark is allocated towards your answer and 1 mark is gone to how u approached the question (method).
I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER!!

most if not all of my exam was wrong(highly doubt all), but I knew how to approach everything.
I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who show a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, this is still the common denominator that separates those who live their dreams to those who live in regret.

I'm 99.9% sure the question was something like:
3f(x-1)+2      (and They told you that f(x) = sin(2π/3)    (the 'π' is supposed to be pi)

Because it was a sin function, i said that its a maximum when f(x-1) = 1

To simplify things, i let a = x-1
So...
f(a) = 1
sin (2πa/3) = 1
2πa/3 = π/2
2πa = 3π/2
a = 3/4

Therefore, a = x - 1
             3/4 = x - 1
             7/4 = x
