Anyone scared that their scientific calculator would just randomly run out of batteries during an exam? LOL :uglystupid2:

That's why you bring 2 scientific calculators into the exam, with one that uses solar-power in conjunction with battery. ;D (Casio ftw!)

It's definitely allowed. I brought in 2 scientific calculators for Environmental Science last year for both exams and they didn't say anything. I even asked my teacher to double check and he said it was okay. I'm pretty sure the same applies to all sciences. Better safe than sorry. ^^

This is kinda hijacking the thread, but would we be able to bring in 2 graphics calculators to our math exams?

You probably could, but i think an extra set of batteries shuold suffice (unless your cas explodes or something...)

Sometimes extra batteries aren't enough... mine died just as I started my spesh SAC and I put spare batteries in and it still wouldn't turn on :(

Yeah, and when it freezes you need to take the coin battery out and leave it for 5 minutes, so a second would definitely be good.

+1, thats what my teachers say to. AND, screwdrivers aren't allowed either (classified as 'weapons' by VCAA)...

You can bring as many as you like + a scientific (not sure how many of these you can have)
