Impossible to determine. Depends on their exam results and the strength of their cohort

The exam results are listed.
2011 - English, English Language, Philosophy, Indonesian SL, Outdoor and Environmental Studies.

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

Well you have to have an idea of what the higher ranked students will get so that you will have a general idea on the strength of the cohort so i believe bazza is correct.

I'd say lower all of these by 2-3

26/30 = 45?

thats like 1 study score per mark

edit: he did tell us to assume the cohort is 'medium' in strength, which in my interpretation is fairly above average

Sorry to hijack thread... but what if you were rank #1 in a weak cohort... with 9/10 9/10 8/10...??

Rank 1 gets the top exam result from their cohort. So if they get 100% on the exam, there will be nothing stopping them from getting a 50.

IF they get 20/100 on the exam, and someone ranked below gets 100/100 on the exam, they end up with a total 120/200

Rank 1 no matter where "theoretically" enables you to get what you deserve, so you'd be up around the low/mid-40s with those sort of scores.

I'm with you jane :P

english is impossible to predict, and you sac marks make no sense to me... It's all pretty much about that final 3hour exam that we do, were everything comes out of.

when you say 20/100, have you converted this to percent?
The english exam is out of 30 altogether, correct?
Also, is it true that there are lows and highs?
E.g a high 9 over a low 9?
