Let's start with what is offered at university and work backwards.
Take a look at the handbook for the commerce courses offered at Melb: http://www.unimelb.edu.au/HB/facs/ECO.html

There is a VCE equivalent for each of those areas of study except for Finance.

I think Finance should be offered as a VCE subject.

Pure mathematics barely receives any coverage in highschool, but it would be a great subject

There should be a branch underneath Physical Education that allows the opportunity to study specific sports such as soccer, tennis, basketball, AFL, etc

.. although I doubt it would really work.
2008: English , Business Management , IT: Applications , Further Maths , Studio Arts
2009: Monash University

Although this will not happen, it might be good if the following were offered as VCE 3/4 subjects:

Perhaps General Senior Science, which enables students to learn all three sciences in one subject (and perhaps a bit of psychology, or at least the physiology of the brain and nervous system) but in less depth than the individual subjects of science - obviously it would involve vastly different course content from the biology, chem and physics subject (although It'd be a pain to find someone who'd teach it).

and Foundation English available at units 3/4
students who are not strong in English should be able to attain a study score in this subject and thus should be able to get an ENTER score.

That is actually a really good idea.

Maybe something like creative crafts, or certain spatial abilities such as knitting. Lol, I wouldn't know how the SAC's would be administered though. =)

I wish Business Management had some sort of practical assessment
With the focus of the 3/4 course being on small businesses and managing your own small business (which would be like 50% of the SS).

Mmm = me in heaven (A)
