Okay, hi guys!

I am currently in year 10 at the moment but have already started a 1+2 in Economics.
I have been looking for courses and came across MBBS (Medicine bachelor, bachelor of Sugery)!
It requires an atar of the high 90s.

I was wondering, what average study score will I need for all 6 of my subjects?

Like in my sig, 45x4+10% of 2 = around 180-190.

What average will I need to achieve an atar of 95?

Please, anything will help.

I also used this but don't know if it's legit etc. http://atarcalc.com/

Dont stress yourself dude, your in year 10. Go out and enjoy yourself, play games and whatever. Being on this forum in year10 already shows how serious you take school.

I know a guy that got into med with these scores,
Eng: 40
Methods: 48
Spesh:45
Physics:45
Chem: 37
Further:49.

If you have the chance do Further Maths, I'm only talking on my behalf, if you put 30mins a day into Further Maths your looking at a 45+.
2011:
Aims-
English 35, Further 45+, Methods 35, Physics 32, Turkish 33, Legal 28.

Just play around with ATARcalc, it's legit and is pretty accurate since the aggregates don't change all that much year to year.

cheers dude, thanks :)

um. your friend got a pretty high atar, from those study scores he got a 97-99.5, that's not low, lol.

and yeah, I was thinking of doing the further maths aswell. If I can pull off a 45+ in methods then definetly a 48+ in further.

NOW:
Let's say I get a 48 in futher and I'm ranked #1 in my cohort, will I go straight to 50?
But, what if I'm not #1 and I'm around #10? What will happen there?

Thanks.

Okay man, I'll do that. :)

AND would you recommend me bludging 5\6th subject and going full-out on the other 4?

a 45 in method does not equal 48 in further, if you love maths then further maths will be extremely fustrating (the reason why i chose psych over further)

I'm pretty sure further scales down, not up.

Also, be careful of thinking "I can get X in methods, so I can get X+3 in further". Further is not easier than methods, there's much less room for mistakes and it's very nitpicky.

If you get 45 in each subject you'll get above 95.

Alright. 45 was just an example, doubt I'll actually get it!
So methods won't help further? Because the only reason I'm doing spesh is to ace methods, and make spesh my 5/6th subject.

And also, why does it make it fustrating?

In that case, you're better off not doing spesh and just purely studying for Methods.

If you're doing spesh for the sake of method then you should just drop spesh. Further to me is so dull, boring and straightforward that i cant motivate myself to study for it

I also want to get smart\good at maths.
I mean, getting a higher study score in the other subjects I'm doing is easier to do than get a 45+ in spesh.

I'll be taking it seriously and all, just purposely want it to be a 5th\6th.
But, if I do further I can just easily get a 45+ if I do well in spesh\methods? I don't see why that wouldn't make sense.

Also, another question. How did you only get a 94.75 with those study scores? Did you get a 35- in English?

I really think you should just try your best for the next couple of years man, it's way too early to think about it.

Your study score is determined taking into account your sacs, so no, a 48 will never go to a 50 unless some weird shit happens that makes a bunch of smart kids to take further, and it becoming harder.

For 95 it's something like a scaled score of 42 in everything? Didn't check

Also if you do further, don't slack off even though it is easy, or it will cost you in the end.
