What was that question on definite integral and areas. Do you just chuck in definite integral or did you have to evaluate it?

exam two average i reckon will be like 40-50%, sounds low, but ALOTTT of people will struggle.. i dunno, maybe im off the mark??

IMO that sounds pretty right. I think the average is usually 55%-ish (thats around what it was for 2006 Exam 1, no idea what it was for 2006 Exam 2). I'd expect most students to have struggled with that exam, so an average of 40% to 50% is very likely

FUCK

i keep losing more marks

i got 2 multi choice wrong (1 of them, which i remember, is really stupid error)

and i only got 1 transformation, translate 1 unit right...

and i only got x-intercepts in next question

is that 2 out of a possible 4 marks or 1/4?

and then in last question(worst mistake out of all of you) - i had a mind blank and didnt even think about p being less than 0

wrote down p = 3.4123 and q=679
and tried to use that for next part
is that 0/4?
or 1/4?

and finally, i got right answer for h(x) and invershe h(x) area under graph,  but showed integrals with logs...and then used calculator
2/3 or 3/3?

im hoping 72/80 - sheesh, terrible
im absolute shattered, about last question...fuck

We need a thread where we can discuss thoughts, not have people blurt out the answers. We have a separate thread for that, and some of us don't want to fall into a deeper pit of depression over lost marks.

I can't complain, because compared to the state I did exceedingly well.
But it's the sinking feeling you get when you know you've conceded marks because you've been stupid.

When you're only halfway though exams, I want to be inspired, and discovering that I've forfeited potentially brilliant scores because of mind blanks is uninspiring at best.

It might be just me, but I'd request that people refrain from splattering the answers all over what is a thoughts thread, not answers thread.

We have a separate thread for that, go get answers there if you're that desperate.

(new to fsn!)

Definetly share everyones sentiments on this exam... i guess i am somewhat reassured that many many many students at my school did not finish or come close ( and amazingly laughed about it straight afterwards).

5 down 2 more exams to go for me. Good luck to all, truly truly hope that you all get results that reflect your work and determination!

hmm.. better go memorise my chem notes book...

Methods is a horrible indicator of intelligence. Its all formula based. Heck even spesh is formula based( well 90% of it is, i have yet to be surprised). Its just the hype that surrounds these subjects intimidate people, then they start to call themselves dumb and then its all over.
