I learnt today that the following forms of avoiding student union election people don't work:

1. frowning at them
2. walking really really fast
3. pretending to be in deep conversation with your friend
4. listening to your iPod and pretending you can't hear them - because they'll just bodyblock you

I need to steal one of those "BUGGER OFF. I've already voted." stickers

The madness has started this week at UOM, dodging all the different parties around uni is a skill which requires a lot of effort :P.

LOL this guy from the 'Left' party even came into my Intercultural Communication lecture in the med building today and gave us a talk about voting for their party...I tuned out...then he handed out these pamphlets that were 'printed on recycled paper'. He dissed the Labor government's policies for a while and talked about how the Left party always stands up for queer rights.

Can't wait to piss off these people by debating them about trivial issues that they have no power over anyway.

There is one party at monash that I have been informed wins every year.

They are also the only group of people advertising something via talking who my methods of 'leave me alone' have ever failed on. Therefore -1 vote for them, if I don't look at you I want to be left alone damnit don't follow me! I need the campus centre to buy my metcard!!!!1

Just ask them, what's your name and which party should I put on lowest preference?

When they answer, tell them thanks, coz you're going to vote the other way around.

There's generic names like "StandUp" and "Yes," although they could just be covering up ideologies like communism and fascism.

i'm still yet to see the differences between all the left choices. maybe i'm ignorant.....or maybe they all have identical policies!
