How did everyone cope with the heat? We were dying in our exam room - facing north in the most exposed building of the school.  :(  I was't surprised to see a heap of wet shirts afterwards.

As soon as i began writing, i wet my page with the sweat on my hand. It was only the multi choice section though, so it didnt matter.

But i sweat a lot (more than the average person) so i wore a soccer top which draws the sweat away from my body (at least, thats what the tag says it does)

I think if you can show that a CAS calculator could cope with it much better than a non-CAS calculator, then you're in business.

But considering that it only took 15 seconds for a TI-83 to solve() it, then I don't think the CAS can beat that by a great margin.

CAS pwns. QED

IMHO, the CAS is a far more capable calculator, function wise. Personally though I find it more sluggish, particularly when graphing since I don't know how to reduce the resolution the way I did on my 84+. Gotta love the algebra though - that mulitiple choice Q with the vdv/dx - CAS saved my ass  :D

Yeah, I love my TI-89 Titanium :D
For the resolution thing, go to Tools (F1) → Format and turn off Discontinuity Detection. Then go to Window (Diamond+F2) and change the xres :)

I thought the exam today had some really easy questions, but some really hard questions. It will definately spread everyone out, unlike the retard of a maths paper that was methods last year *shakes fist*

You were aiming for 45 raw? Wow, that's a high aim. I was doing Specialist last year with an aim of 40, and people were still saying "oh that's really hard to get."

If you're losing about 5-10 marks overall, that sounds pretty good.

If you were not going to get 40 last year then who was?

You never know, what you are going to get till that day in less than a month's time(29 days and about 17 hrs).
oping for an ENTER of 99+

Yeah same here, and there probably aren't that many more in the state.
Generally metalheads and higher level academia don't seem to match :P
