I'll almost definately major in Accounting, Economics or Finance[leaning strongly toward accounting].

However, I haven't decided about any minors... probably be one of the above areas in which I haven't majored in.

so what does a minor confer; does it give you the choice of doing honours in that field [if  you're good enough]?
hmm, I have no idea what's involved in honours ... though I'd love to have an honours in arts ... honours in law is wayyyy outta my reach

Which elements have put you off, Eriny?
It's difficult to explain. I'm very interested in things like politics and ideology, but I think I prefer studying these things from a perspective that's different from the ones political science offer. It's possible to study politics in just about every arts discipline there is, and I find that doing it from a discipline other than 'political science' is much more interesting. For example, I'd prefer to look at thinks like communism, for instance, through philosophical means or through studying cultural  experience or through reading a novel.

It also annoys me that political science makes quite a few assumptions but non post-modernist lecturers don't like to be told that they're making assumptions. My current lecturer is a Marxist, which has been quite annoying for me.

Actually, come to think of it, the fact that I've had very poor and boring lecturers for the past 2 semesters probably hasn't helped much.

I think my decision was made easier as I don't any decision to make (no majors in my course)..

...but, if I had to say something, it would be closest to a Information (or Business) Systems major in a BSc.

My old post should be ignored because since then I read the handbook and it said level 2/3 units can only count towards one major sequence.

However the lovely faculty of science people told me today I can have 3 majors provided I meet the requirements for them because I am special :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

So yeah, 3 majors and 0 minors for me :P Physics astro maths.

Except maths is dodgy and in order to fit units in I might have to split a year up into 5 units/3 units because everyone loves semester one too much.
