for the context i did a imaginative reflective piece. however i didnt give it a title? is this going to affect me? my teacher never said anything about that! >:(
as for language analysis, i used both "the writer" and "Sam", would that have been an issue?

Yay it's over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So excited!

I thought the exam was really quite good.
The Maestro topic was wonderful, 4.5 pages on that
The Landscape prompt was fun, 4.25 pages on that
and the Analysis was interesting, another 4 pages on that, hopefully I did ok. When I first saw it over two pages I swore because I thought it was two articles :P I am happy though Mao :D

WHO THE HELL IS SAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GAH. I spent a precious minute looking around for his last name. Grrrr

oh well, it's over guys!

Bah!

With the whole 'you're doing work experience at a newspaper' thing, how were you meant to fit an imaginative response into that criteria??

haha yeah.. I was feeling sorry for the people who prepared all year to do an imaginative essay. I guess you could have somehow, but the expos and persuasive styles probablly fit the form and audience best. With the headline - yeah I wrote one because I thought it would be very appropriate considering the form.. but I did it in the last 2 minutes so I wasn't able to think of something really catchy

I read somewhere that someone used the headline 'extraORDINARY'.. for the encountering conflict.. .. I wish I couldv'e thought of something a bit better haha

considering everyone seems to have done well I reckon the grade ranges may go up higher - meaning it'll be harder for A+ ????

My take:

Language Analysis- quite boring. Got about 6.5 pages out and analysised the whole article...

LBW- loved topic ii, so much to write on. 4.5 pages

Imag landscape- WHO THOUGHT OF THAT PROMPT, stupid topic. 4.5 pages of philosophical junk.

Oh, btw, what did you guys write for the donkey? I interpretted it as a symbol of stubborness, a limitted mindset and resistant to change/accept, but I really don't think that's right.

I hated the language analysis, not that it was hard, just that I couldn't make my language concise nor did my ideas show sophistication.

lol i thought it was a horse  :buck2:

ME TOO! I guess we can look like idiots together :D

But i think i explained the purpose behind it similiar to what you did anyway. Maybe award extra points for looking into it on a different angle?

Ehh I went ok. English has never been a strong point and I probably didn't write enough (3.5 pages for each). The topics were pretty managable so overall not too bad I guess.
