What would happen in the following scenario for Media. I'm ranked second with the following info:

SACs 113/120 (A+)
SAT 32/35       (A+)

Say I got full marks on my exam, and did better then the person ranked first would that benefit or detriment my SS?

Why would it detriment your SS? :S

Clearly it can only benefit :S

That 32 would probably go to 35/35 if you got A+ on exam, and 113 could maybe became 118 depending how well you did on exam, hope it goes to full marks.

Goodluck!

Recently my teacher scolded me for using 'detriment' as a verb in an essay... it's odd because it seems so appropriate as a verb. :/
But apparently it can only be a noun or adjective (detrimental).

Why would it detrimental your SS....it doesn't feel the same :(.

According to dictionary.com it's a word. But oh well.

Oh, what else is annoying is unlogical vs illogical. According to spell checker and my teacher its "illogical" but that sounds STUPID. All my life I have heard and used unlogical, and will continue to do so in defiance. Care to join me?

LOL. Sorry for going off topic. Stops now.

"Why would it be detrimental to your SS"

That sounds right ;)

I've always used illogical, it would be unlogical to say otherwise. hahaha, pardon me.

So.....for Specialist, I'm ranked number 1 in my class with a 93/100.

At the moment, on all the trial exams we've done in class, I have a clear lead on everyone. Assuming I get the highest exam mark, my SAC mark will adjust accordingly to what my exam mark is?

Also given my class has only 10 people, will we count as a separate cohort or will our scores be combined with another school?
Religion and Society (38), IT - Software Development (45) English (35), Chemistry (49), Methods CAS (48), Specialist Maths (50)
ENTER: 99.15

2010 - Bachelor of Science(Maths)/Engineering(Chemical) - Monash Clayton

Woah, I'm confused.

So the actual SAC marks don't count towards anything other than a placement within your cohort?

If yes, then does it take into account large differences between SAC marks? Like if the person with the highest SAC mark is beating other by a lot, as opposed to just one mark?

don't think so - it doesn't matter if the difference between 1st and 2nd is 100/100 and 70/100, or 100/100 and 99/100

Will sacs be regarded as A+ if the person is ranked first regardless of the percentage score?
