"Some say there is no place for faith in the 21st century, I say they are wrong. Some say that faith is the enemy of reason, I say also they are wrong." - Kevin Rudd

"Some say there is no place for faith in the 21st century, I say they are wrong. Some say that faith is the enemy of reason, I say also they are wrong." - Kevin Rudd

Discuss.

What the fuck is up with his rhetoric?

"Kevin Rudd says A, I say he is wrong. Kevin Rudd also says B, I also say he is wrong"

How persuasive.

Simply,

Religion has a place for certain individuals within our modern society.

Oooh. You're talking about what K Rudd said to the WYD pilgrims.
Those pilgrims were really annoying when they were down in Melbourne - what with all their chanting, cheering, flag waving, praying to a random plaque, being overly and enthusiastically happy, etc.
Anyone else hate the pilgrims? Does anyone else think their trip was totally pointless and a waste of money (except it has done well for our tourism - accommodation, souvenirs, restaurants, condoms, brothels, etc.) ?

I fully support the WYD event. It brings together all of the catholic (and if wants, non catholic), youths of the world and people who keep saying it's worthless and a waste of time have either not experienced strong faith, or is clearly blinded. Maybe people actually want to have fun and interact with other people from around the world rathar than sitting on the computer all day like some of you (no offence bu  some comments here really irritate me).

eg. Anyone else hate the pilgrims? Does anyone else think their trip was totally pointless and a waste of money (except it has done well for our tourism - accommodation, souvenirs, restaurants, condoms, brothels, etc.) ?

Why give such a lame question? How can you hate 500,000 people. I find that very wierd. Or you could just be suffering from Anti-personality syndrome.
