anyone got one of them? not through school and how can i get one and how long will this course take?

Umm... here... RSA only takes a couple of hours, and generally costs b/w $70 - $100.

Monash runs RSA sessions which r accredited by LLV: http://www.shortcourses.monash.edu.au/hospitality-skills.html
There r plenty of associations that do it, jst make sure that u'll get proper accreditation XD

Edit: Jst thought I'd clarify... I'm relatively sure that an online course does NOT cut it 4 bottle shops, supermarkets and such jobs where u're dealing with the sale of packaged liquor, but that they ARE acceptable when it comes 2 everyday hospitality-industry jobs. Plz research this more tho if u intend 2 do an online 1 jst 2 make sure. Online 1s cost bout the same as in-person 1s tho, so personally I think it's worth physically going in 2 a training session somewhere jst 2 make sure ur money is well-spent.

No... let's get this straight...

The course goes 4 a couple of hours.

Happy thought Dusty thought Happy was turning 18 in a couple of hours (figure that 1 out XD)
...it was the 'wow couple of hours ey??' comment immediately following the 'when you do turn 18???' comment that caused the confusion.

Happy 'corrected' Dusty by saying that her bday is actually in 14 days ('Nah... More like 14 days').

Dusty thinks she's jst been rejected, but the 'Nah...' was in reference 2 the birthdayness.

Happy has neither rejected nor accepted Dusty's offer 2 do the RSA with her.

Is it advisable to get a part time job in year 12?  anyone?

I had a part time job throughout this year, although I only worked on Fridays + Weekends. TBH, if I didn't have the part time job I would've just spent the extra time I had procrastinating anyway. Strangely enough it was a nice break from school.

likewise, I worked mainly on Sundays anyway, but it was good to not think about school. The down side is that you gotta be good with time management, cause I remember I had heaps of SACs on Monday and was a bit underprepared.

Lol, I was the opposite. Because I worked 2 jobs last year during school (Coles and Maccas), I worked them on the weekends and Usually every weeknight, so I didn't have time to study for my year 11 or year 12 subjects. Subsequently, I only got a 30 in Psych last year, so I guess not having a job this year was quite refreshing for me...
