Real men don't have icons on their desktop. They also don't have quick launch icons in their panel. All useful programs startup automatically. Others can be run by the keyboard (alt+F2 <3).

It's Snow Leopard :D probably should have included the "About This Mac" dialog in the screenshot to show it was 10.6. Apparently there's been some small UI changes but I haven't noticed anything so far, the updates have been predominantly under the hood.
