Sehwag is just a fat, bald lard, that plays with reckless abandon.
I have to agree with that :P altho when he gets into the zone he does play some nice shots.

Good job australia! Finally a good batting performance :D

the mindset, apart from sehwag, that the indians have adopted this innings is very refreshing.

I'd have to say that the last half hour was some of the most boring cricket I've ever seen though. The mindset was to stay in for day 4 and not to make runs, and it nearly got both tendulkar and gambhir out...

It was boring but it was correct from them. They bowled themselves into a terrible position where Australia has all the advantages, all they can do is try and not lose wickets and hope for some luck. If they'd gone attacking then they could well have put a couple more through to the slips

althought it was boring, it was the right thing to do. Tendulkar especially is prone to getting out before lunch breaks/end of play/ in the 90's or before any signifcant milestone. He was aware of this, but he will free up tommorow

we need a session or two of rain, and then I think if we bat really well ( i.e. gambhir, laxman, tendulkar tonning up) then we have a chance to draw.

It's funny how the game has changed so quickly within the span of a day or so and that now the best India can hope for is a draw.  :P

Great win by the Aussies. Fantastic performances by Hussey, Ponting, Hilf and of coarse Clarke. Lets just hope that the remaining two tests are closer finishes.

I'm looking forward to seeing James Hopes again (assuming he replaces Pattinson) if India win the next Test, it'll make things very interesting.

BTW when do they play the next test ?
James Hopes?

I would've thought Ryan Harris would come back in. Possibly Mitchell Starc to play instead of Nathan Lyon too. Lyon doesn't really look like getting wickets and the type of pitch at the WACA often makes sides pick 4 specialist fast bowlers.

my team for india would be:  sehwag, gambhir, dravid, tendulkar, rohit sharma, virat kohli, vinay kumar, ishant sharma, umesh yadav, zaheer khan.
no spinner, and replace VVS with rohit.

cause seriously, the WACA. if anyone saw the big bash game last night, that outfield is fast as. i think vvs should be swapped, only cause i think rohit is more aggressive and the waca will be in his favour. and take aswhin out cause i doubt the wicket there will offer much for spinners. but saying that, the best bowlers the other night for the big bash were spinners!!! haha.. so maybe keep aswhin and not bring in vinay, but yeah. or they could try Ojha out instead of aswhin.

I'm a fan of Starc. Easily my favourite left-arm pace bowler named Mitchell. Also I'd go Haddin out and Wade in, but it won't happen.

I definitely wouldn't drop Ashwin. The WA state team have played the entire season with a spinner, and even discounting that, Ashwin offers a valuable extra dimension through his batting. I like the idea of bringing in Rohit Sharma though, I've heard he's the kind of batsman who is likely to adapt himself well to bouncy conditions.

India will be in for an even tougher challenge at the WACA - out of all the grounds at Australia, the WACA is the one where the Aussies most consistently win at.
