Is HSF really that bad?
You guys are making me nervous for 2nd year ;~;
Would daresay that most biomeds actually prefer HSF over MCB, so despite its deficiencies with respect to organisation and teaching, people tend to enjoy it more than MCB, which has plenty of great teachers and is organised perfectly.
So long story short, no it's not that bad.
True, but I think Charles makes it a lot easier.
I'll go into more detail when I write my subject reviews but in short it's a subject with massive potential that turns out to be a huge letdown. Only a few changes need to be made here and there for it to be amazing, but for some reason they're not being done and they keep making the same mistakes every single year. It's not something to panic over though - if you're prepared you will be fine.
Personally, I don't know—I only listened to one of his lectures. Everyone who listened to him did seem to be a lot more chilled about it all and if I had my time over I probably would have just listened to him rather than rocked up.
Replying because I just wanted to jump behind what you said about the few changes, I agree 100%.
