Just curious, are exams held in the Royal Exhibition Building? Last time I went there was like 5 years ago wow
Depends on the exam. Most big exams (especially for first year big-subject science exams e.g. chem, calculus, bio, physics) are held in the Royal Exhibition Building. Smaller exams are often held in tute rooms at uni, for instance my Russian exams were held at uni. Intermediate exams (maybe ~300 people) are often held in Wilson Hall in the centre of campus.
I'm doing commerce. So in theory, your 1st year subjects are as important as your 3rd year subjects?
In theory, your first year subjects are
as important as the institution you are applying to makes them out to be. If you apply to an institution which
doesn't evaluate subjects differently, then yes, first year subjects are worth exactly the same as third year subjects. If you apply to an institution
which weighs your GPA in a specific way (e.g. GEMSEAS for Med, Dentistry, etc), then your first year subjects will count for half as much as your 2nd year subjects, and a third of your 3rd year subjects.
It depends on the institution you are applying to and how they weigh up your GPA.Where do you want to apply?
