I'd imagine it's quite useful - suppose you're shooting for something like med post-grad and for whatever reason don't get accepted, having that second major would broaden your alternative options considerably.

Ooh thanks I'll definitely brush up on those! What topic did Cheryl teach? The new lecturer we got teaches cell/molecular biology type stuff like membrane transport etc.

Nah she taught like, the most ridiculous crap.  Koch's postulates...antibiotics maybe (probably).  Oh yeah she did do that because I can hear her voice in my head going "selective toxicity".

Pros: doing more Science stuff.
Cons: not actually graduating with two majors.

My friend is doing it for Path/Immuno/Micro but now she's like 'I don't even like Pathology anymore'.  So I'm sure there are pros but in the end you have to choose one anyway.

What I'd wonder is if employers would consider the pseudo-second major or if there'd be no hope of a job for someone that did two majors but chose the one not relevant to the job they applied for.
Like if you did a double major in zoology and chemistry and applied for a job as a lab assistant for a chemical laboratory but chose to have the zoology major accredited, would you be instantly dismissed from consideration?

Your major doesn't go on your degree. When you give them your academic transcript, it'll list everything you have there.

Hmm.. I think Karena taught Koch's postulates  and another lecturer did antibiotics a bit later.

Does anyone know the difference between the seventh and sixth edition of chemical principles?
