I have a question, as someone who has been doing poorly at uni, what is the best way to organize yourself for your subjects ? E.g. do you use folders, note books for tutes then one for lecture s etc etc. I am terrible at organizing my subjects and by the end of semester i usually have everything everywhere
It might differ between people. I have a plastic pocket for each subject. Then if I take written notes in class I use whatever paper I found on the day (sometimes napkins...), and put everything in random order in the pockets if I get around to it. Then I try to read them during SWOTVAC, but I can't read my handwriting and throw them out.
On my laptop I have a folder for each subject. For each there are individual subfolders for tutorials, lectures, assignments, notes, torrented textbooks, and the 'completed' subfolder. By the end of the semester, all of the subfolders in each folder are piled in the 'completed' subfolder because every tutorial/lecture/assignment subfolder has been read and/or submitted.
It makes me feel like I've made progress, which can be difficult at university. You receive a sense of accomplishment when you create something tangible with your own hands, like building furniture or cooking a new recipe. But after dozens of hours of effort at university, you only receive numbers on the screen. Which is less of a dopamine surge. We're living in a half-real world of smoke and mirrors~*~*~ wooOOOOOooooo ghost noises.
