How strict are they with the prerequisite "And any other second year level subject from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics." in this subject?
https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2014/MAST30021
Any way to do this subject having only done Real Analysis?

Hey guys, is it possible to appeal an essay mark that's worth 50% of your subject grade? There aren't any comments on Turnitin and I'd kinda want to know why I got the mark I got, which was lower than what I was expecting (by quite a bit).

Should be able to get around it with permission from the lecturer. I know many people that have done third level math subjects without prerequisites, you just have to have good grades and a reason.

Yeah you'll definitely be able to appeal the mark if you really want to. I would assume you'd follow this procedure and policy - http://ask.unimelb.edu.au/app/answers/detail/a_id/2910. However, there might be another kind of appeal procedure since you're appealing just an essay mark. Double check this with your subject coordinator.

Before you do anything though, you'll need to wait until results are finalised on the 6th December. The result might be different on this day, you just never know! If you're still unhappy with the result, speak to your subject coordinator and make sure you have grounds for appeal. Usually tutors/assessors won't write many comments on essays at all - so it's going to be a lot more useful to you if you can get your hands on a filled-in marking criteria sheet if you can!

It counts for Accelerated Maths 1 only; you still need to do Accelerated Maths 2. That's why I didn't do UMEP maths
2012
Mathematical Methods (50) Chinese SL (45~52)

2013
English Language (50) Chemistry (50) Specialist Mathematics (49~54.9) Physics (49) UMEP Physics (96%) ATAR 99.95

2014-2016: University of Melbourne, Bachelor of Science, Diploma in Mathematical Sciences (Applied Maths)

2017-2018: Master of Science (Applied Mathematics)

2019-2024: PhD, MIT (Applied Mathematics)

Accepting students for VCE tutoring in Maths Methods, Specialist Maths and Physics! (and university maths/physics too) PM for more details

If you study 3 subjects in semester 1 and 2 subjects semester 2, are you still considered a full time student? (I want to know for Tertiary concession for public transport... I ain't paying full fee for fares....)

In the commerce faculty there is a prize ceremony with food and drink, then you get some money. Usually between 200 and 500 dollars, however I've seen a 2000 prize before.
