For lectures, are the lecture notes and the actual lecture recordings on separate systems? Also whats the difference between lectopia and the echo360 thing?

Echo360 and Lectopia are the same thing.

The lecture notes are uploaded onto the LMS, Lectopia is a separate system accessed from the LMS.

jaffy question here, will the grades, comments on our essays etc still be saved on the LMS even after we are enrolled into new subjects?

They will not be available for you to see them on the LMS when the subject is taken off line. I'm not sure if they are available elsewhere.

Fellow Arts kid here: No, your subjects from previous semesters will be taken down once the new ones go up, but there's nothing stopping you from downloading the comments and feedback before hand. I don't actually know how to do this, but given the laconic (<100 words) feedback in most subjects, you could probably just copy some dot points onto a post-it note and that would suffice :)

Went looking round the LMS, and in the essay submissions link (turnitin), you can "view submission", actually download (as PDF) your entire essay with comments. some of my tutors have been pretty good and wrote >100 word constructive feedback with various specific feedback in between the essay (for eg: reference needed for a particular sentence).

learned something new everyday! hope this can help fellow students as well.

Have you submitted a IT ticket about it (Active Directory)? If not do so, as someone else is having the same issue.

Yeah I've spoken to like three different people about it and now I'm just waiting to get in contact with 13 Melb to get them to give me my library barcode. The chat's been busy for like an hour and when I called up I was put on hold for like 10 minutes listening to classical music to I just hung up. Feels like this would be easier to deal with if I just went into the University myself >.>

I'm not too sure if they will be able to give you your barcode as it probably doesn't exist given you don't have a student card.
They might have a different process but I'm under the impression a support ticket needs to be created for a barcode to be manually set up.

At this point like you said, it's probably best to go in to your student centre.

If you do have one I can check but I feel it's unlikely, PM me your student number if you want to try.

How are you able to check barcodes? I'll PM you my number shortly thanks ^.^

When I log onto my Student Portal I keep getting this "Client received SOAP Fault from server : FailedAuthentication : The security token cannot be authenticated." What does this even mean and how do I get rid of it? Cheers.

It might be related to the system problems that happened today.

If it isn't, can you try clearing your browser cache? Also make sure you aren't accessing the student portal from a bookmark or history.

Okay so I cleared my browser cache and tried logging on again. This time I get "Page not found- Error 404". It might just be a system problem. Thanks for you help anyway.
