I was wondering where you tie it up haha!

My favourite part of my exam was the guy who rolled down Wilson hall after finishing his exam early on rollerblades  ;D ;D

Also does something happen if a phone goes off during an exam because my exam had a couple and nothing seemed to happen?

Someone's phone went off last semester and the invigilator just death glared at the phone's owner and told her to switch it off. Idk why but I always thought they'd be more strict, like confiscate it or something

Having completed my exams, I slept from 11 PM last night to 11 am this morning. This just proves how much sleep deprivation I had! So good to just have exams done & out of the way!

Does anyone know around when results start to get released? End of November ?? Thanks!

Those sacrifices are definitely worth it for me.
We're all around 18-21 years old. Awesome age to be experimenting, going out, enjoying life.
Body's approaching our peak; best to take care of it and play sports/lift weights.

Yes, uni is important but I reckon enjoying life right now is just as, if not more, important.

I'd rather get H2A/H2B's and have an awesome time during the semester rather than have all H1's and feel unsatisfied/depressed deep down.

We'll be working for the next 30-40 years once we graduate... Why not take the time to enjoy life for an extra bit now?

Of course, everyone has their own ideals.
Perhaps getting that H1 gives that person a better high than any other girl/drug/festival/hobby can.
Well said!!

Like I always ask myself... what if I die in three years? What have I actually done with my life? I really want to go out, do other things.

And I think it's good to be balanced as well. Like, sometimes it motivates me that during the week I have other things to do apart from study. It makes me work harder during the time I do study because I know that I have less time to study compared to others. I think it's still possible to do well while being balanced and I really want to think of some strategies next semester for that.

Like I can't see myself solely studying throughout the semester and doing nothing else. How on earth are you supposed to stay motivated?
2013-2014:| VCE
2015-2018:| Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience) @ UoM
2019-X:| Doctor of Dental Surgery (discontinued)
2019 -2021:| Master of Physiotherapy

Currently: Physiotherapist working at a musculoskeletal clinic. Back pain, sore neck, headaches or any other pain limiting your study? Give me a PM (although please do see your personal health professional first!)

Any questions related to pathways towards studying dentistry or physiotherapy? Gimmi a PM!

it might sound pretty counter-intuitive at first but i definitely feel like the more stuff you have on, the more productive you are with your time in general. I mean if you have a lot of extra curricular commitments, say like 5 hours worth a week, you sort of force yourself to use your time more efficiently, and study in small 45 minute gaps between classes and stuff like that. whereas when you have nothing on you will probably spend hours a week procrastinating anyway. also i feel like sport/exercise/gym helps with studying, when you get fitter and feel healthier youre alot less lethargic and procrastinate alot less. when i was training for uni games i definitely noticed that i was doing more work even though i had less time.
i cant think of too many science people i know who juggle heaps of extra curriculars and still get h1s(although im sure they exist), but there are lots of kids like that in commerce, and they mostly attribute it all to good time management ie; wasting minimal time per day
in the end though, a good balance is really important. you dont want your resume to just have good grades and no extra curricular activities or work experience or anything like that if you can help it, i guess people just have to try and find what works for them

alot of social life dilemmas can be avoided with good time management too. if you can keep on top of the work for the most part you can go out more when events are on, but it does depend on the timelines for events. if there is an aa/asean event on the same week that an assignment is due i will make sure i submit the assignment a couple days early so i can go LOL

Thanks, Starlight! I actually intend to take all the subjects you took as part of the major! :)

they were all fascinating, and had quite a bit of crossover which eased the workload a bit.
