I really want to think of some strategies next semester for that.
Like I can't see myself solely studying throughout the semester and doing nothing else. How on earth are you supposed to stay motivated?
it might sound pretty counter-intuitive at first but i definitely feel like the more stuff you have on, the more productive you are with your time in general. I mean if you have a lot of extra curricular commitments, say like 5 hours worth a week, you sort of force yourself to use your time more efficiently, and study in small 45 minute gaps between classes and stuff like that. whereas when you have nothing on you will probably spend hours a week procrastinating anyway. also i feel like sport/exercise/gym helps with studying, when you get fitter and feel healthier youre alot less lethargic and procrastinate alot less. when i was training for uni games i definitely noticed that i was doing more work even though i had less time.
i cant think of too many science people i know who juggle heaps of extra curriculars and still get h1s(although im sure they exist), but there are lots of kids like that in commerce, and they mostly attribute it all to good time management ie; wasting minimal time per day
in the end though, a good balance is really important. you dont want your resume to just have good grades and no extra curricular activities or work experience or anything like that if you can help it, i guess people just have to try and find what works for them
alot of social life dilemmas can be avoided with good time management too. if you can keep on top of the work for the most part you can go out more when events are on, but it does depend on the timelines for events. if there is an aa/asean event on the same week that an assignment is due i will make sure i submit the assignment a couple days early so i can go LOL
