okay, this happened to me too since the study plan won't let me enrol but basically, before the 14th of December (Monday), enrol in at least one subject. This will ensure that you won't pay the $100 re-enrolment fee. You can alway submit an enrolment variation form but my best bet would be to go to your student centre on Monday and enrol in your subjects on the spot. If you carefully explain it to them, the student centre will be able to manipulate around your study plan etc.

Yes! 3 subjects is the minimum requirement to be required as a full-time student.

Apparently students centres aren't allowed to enrol you into subjects anymore, you'll most likely need to submit the subject variation form

really? well, I guess in my case, I had to make 3 trips to the student centre as there were always loop-holes in what they told me. After being done with the amount of time I wasted going back and forth, I finally asked them to assist me in enrolling one subject and manipulating my study plan. I did, however, submit an enrolment variation form beforehand before my last trip to the student centre so yeah, probably best to submit an enrolment variation form and if theres further trouble, go see the student centre.

Oh my.... glad I'm graduating LMAO jk
But nah in all seriousness, if it weren't for the student centres fixing up my enrolment (not the enrolment variation) I wouldn't be graduating - messed up enrolment for so many subjects and couldn't wait on the 3-5 business day wait for the enrolment variation application processing.

So if i plan to undertake 7 subjects for example next year

i can enroll in 5 and then enroll in another 2 after  the 14th of december or will i get fined?

i dont think i can get to the student centre on monday :'( what a joke

Wait do we still get fined if we have at least one subject enrolled? I'm waiting on 3 subjects to be changed through the enrollment variation

enrol in the rest of your subjects and you won't get a fine :) you can enrol in the other 3 afterwards, as long as its before the last date to enrol (check the handbook for the times)

you definitely won't get a fine since you already enrolled in 5 subjects. If you can't make it on monday you can always live chat with them if you have an enquiries on: https://ask.unimelb.edu.au/app/ask

Okay so in what case does the 'failing to enrol after the 14th" apply?

I'd imagine that failing to enrol would be to not enrol in any subjects at all for the next year.
