Hi, I'm a first year commerce student this year and I was wondering whether we should be organizing our timetables for first semester only or for both semesters on class registration day tomorrow?

Guys, is anyone else still having trouble registering for 2nd/3rd year subjects?? I've been trying for hours, this is ridiculous...

It lets me log in, but I can only see my summer timetable, when I try to change to Sem 1 it loads forever and then comes up with an error message...

I get that too and apparently a lot of summer school people are getting that. I've been trying since 10 am. Honestly, it's kind of pathetic.

Quite disappointing that the class registration has turned out like this today. I thought Unimelb had finally sorted out timetabling issues (the last two semesters have been quite good) but many students are unable to log in still. Hopefully things get sorted out for first year subjects tomorrow.

Finally got on to the help chat (after waiting in four queues and being disconnected from each of them) and they said there's nothing we can do - just that we might have more luck later tonight when there are fewer people trying to access things. But I'm a bit worried if this isn't fixed by tomorrow given all the 1st years will have to register -.-

Also was told going into uni is not really going to help either, they have "limited computers there" and they're struggling to access things too, so we've just got to keep waiting...

I wonder if the university is going to try to compensate for the people who weren't able to get any of the times they wanted because of this tragedy of a server.

Was wondering about this too - idk how it'd work though. For things like quota subjects it's supremely unfair, and there are going to be a lot of swiss cheese timetables for people who didn't get in on time. Maybe they'll just kick everyone out of their classes and start again

I think they've taken the whole server offline now, I'm getting a 503 error - hopefully it'll be fixed when it comes back.

This is ridiculous. Literally been sitting at my computer for seven hours, haven't been able to leave the house - still nothing. Surely the university has to provide compensation.

Is the practical meant to be a tutorial? If not, what is it and what do you do?

Two of my subjects have classes that say are "Not Available", been waiting for 5 hrs now  . Anyone else having similar problems?

I finally got into the timetable screen after 7 hours and, after a few incredibly long loading screens, it said "there are no classes from any subjects available for registration". Right after that, the webpage crashed and I've been stuck on the static screen ever since.
