Does anyone have any tips/advice on tackling anatomy?

I would imagine it's a hugely visual and rote-learned discipline so I think I'm going to deviate from my usual study routine by just printing out anat lectures and labelling/annotating where necessary so I can devote my time to just learning the structures off the slides

Something that helped me memorise all the muscles, bones and neurovasculature was to learn where it was on my body and each time I recited them I would point and run my finger along the structure.

I don't know why but I found the fact that you included the echo in brackets hilarious hahahaha.

Some people take that to a whole new level though and create very elaborate songs and dances to remember that kind of stuff. Check it out on youtube.

Make cards using anki image occlusion and netter's anatomy atlas can be very useful. BRS Gross Anatomy (Board Review Series) is also a good summary anatomy book. http://www.instantanatomy.net/ is a good site to use too

As for anatomy tips, check out BioDigital Human. It's a website that allows you to actually look at parts of the body in 3D. Granted, it's not perfect, but it's pretty bloody good for anatomy and I credit most of my H1 to that website.

MD, DDS, optometry (post grad) students all started a month ago. They only get like two weeks off during the winter break unlike us undergrads who get 4-7 weeks.

From what I remember, undergrad classes usually started around in the mid 20s of July, so it seems normal to me.
