Don't think p can equal zero as they flipped two heads one tail.
no they didnt.. they asked you to calculate the probability in terms of p.

if p=0 then the pr of getting 3 heads is 0
and the probability of getting 2 heads and tail is also 0. thus it makes perfectly good sense.

Then how is it biased? If both sides equate to 0? o.O

pr = 0 , means, COINLESSNESS :o

One Tail = means absolute 1 sided coin ): , nvm I'll shutup lol >_>

Biased just means there isn't an equal probability of rolling a head as there is a tails...it's weighted on one side

OMFG though, wish I would've realised that (7/2)^2/2 = 49/4...probably would've made things a little easier :P

Hence because it isn't equal probability, p > 0

Anyways, Math Methods Exam 2, to mope over.

I think you mean ((7/25)^2)/2=49/4.

If you think about it, how can a TWO sided coin only ever land on side? I did contemplate putting p=0 though, but it seemed too silly.

for the probability question
if you started the equation by saying Integral from 3.5 - 2 blah blah blah
but throughout all your working out you stupidly worked out 3.5 - 0
would i get any marks

ovasly both my answers were wrong as for
a) i got 3/8
b) 1 ovasly wrong haha

would i get anymarks?
I got the same answers as you did. Im pretty sure consequential marks will be allocated

It maths. Ever since we were young we realised that maths is imaginary. It contains weird things like counting elephants and men with 4 feet. A rigged coin that always lands on tails is nothing out of the ordinary in maths world :P

no.. eg the probability of a FAIR 6 sided dice rolling a 7 is 0..

and not both sides are 0..
head is 0 and tail is 1.

as I said before.. a coin that is tail on both sides..

like 2 face from batman whose coin had heads on both sides..

too many arithmetic errors. omg.

*rocks back and forth over not being able to divide by 2 when doing that sin(2x+pi/3)=1/2, why did I multiply by 2 instead of divide?! WHYYYY*

if you get part a of a question wrong, for example, and you need to use the answer in part b/c or something like that, and you work through part b/c correctly using the wrong value from part a, you can get consequential marks for parts b and c for doing the right thing.

Would I get at least one mark for mentioning (-infinite,-8] intersection [-2,infinite) n.b it should be union not intersection and the question was worth 2 marks.

^ maybe, I can't say for sure. Depends on the marking scheme.
