Has anyone actually needed to use the GAT for a subject before?
I heard that the derived score is still quite a bit less than if you were to do the subject...
How exactly does it work if you get a 50 in written communication, could you expect 45+ in English as a derived score then?
Any experiences??
Yes. Yes. Yes.
They also take into account SACs, if you performed poorly in SACs then you might not get that high, but if you had A+ SACs then yes.
Had to get a bio derived in 2010 unit 4 exam. GAT results were fortunately high (something like 49 in science), but I beat my derived in the actual exam. they definitely also take into account SACs and they may consider Unit 3 exam results and even teacher opinion (which seems really subjective and unfair since your teacher might just look at your trial exam results to give an appraisal). the reality that it is possible to do better in the actual exam shows that the derived score may not account for your disadvantaged circumstances.
Edit: having trouble with indented quoting (new to this forum,

), can anyone show me how?
