I also have started the headstart work for Specialist Maths already, so that too is eating up a fair amount of my time. :P

I would say prepare for Unit 2 exams, but start 3/4 coursework soon and annihilate it next year! I'm rooting for you :p

My chem exam is tomorrow! It's on chapters 11-16 and I've tried cramming in this whole day. I really cannot be bothered though.. so I'm still on chapter 13. I actually don't care if I don't do too well as it's only unit 2... I'm literally just going over enough to at least get 50%
PLUS I have a history exam tomorrow which I'm not as stressed about, but I still needa revise for that too, mainly some key dates.
THIS IS ALL TOMORROW.

eugh.
I should've started earlier, but I've just been relaxing after the Psych exam and I've kinda burnt out.
but then again, its only unit 2

Don't worry guys, i'm screwed for unit 2 exams as well.

Though I feel I shouldn't be in the position to say that, as i'm not doing any 3/4's this year and all my subjects are easy, compared to everyone here at least. I guess it's just English that's my problem, Macbeth will be the death of me, and GUAIA.
MacBeth haha that text was pretty awesome. I'm sure you'll be fine, just talk about how Lady MacBeth is devil spawn :p

I actually did love Macbeth, my teacher really got our class into acting and reading out loud which made it one of the highlights of my year, it's just that when it comes down to SAC's and exams, i'm just awful at putting together a good essay.

Oh Lady Macbeth, I quite agree, haha! I don't know if it's trying to indicate anything, but majority of the quotes I remember are her lines.

Yeah it's a fun text to study, we did a similar thing when I was studying it in year 10.

I hope that's not an evil indicator :p but it is good to memorise her lines, they show a lot about power, corruption and control.

Good luck on your yr 11 exams. :) Ahh at least Methods is over.. -phew-

Anyway, so I've decided to do Physics next year, but I haven't done 1/2. How should I go about this? Is reading and doing questions from the 1/2 textbook enough?

Also, I'm going away for most of December, so I feel like I'm putting my year 12 in jeopardy.. it will still be alright, right? I'll still be able to do enough and survive.. right?! :{

Yeah, you'll be fine. I'm going away for most of December too :P

Doing heaps of work in the summer holidays really isn't that important. Well, personally, I didn't find it that helpful this year. Even if you feel like you need to, you've still got January as well!  :)

I think a tutor would be a good idea. They'd know which parts of the year 11 course are most important and emphasise them.

I didn't do any study over the 11-12  break and I don't know many people who did.

I can testify to the truth of this haha (although I never liked it that much in year 11 anyway.)

Haha, I can testify to it too!

But seriously, if you do want to embark on this dismal journey, here's what you should go over over the holidays :)
- Electronics, do it all
- Motion, do it all
- Have a read over the light sections, but don't get too worried if you don't understand all of it. The Unit 3/4 take on it is a bit different

Omg really D: I get that a lot.. but I feel like Bio is just chunks of info, and I can't do rote. Apparently Physics is about concepts and formulas .__.

And I don't know if I should continue Japanese omg.

I think I need to revisit the careers counselor..

Well, yes and no. It is about formulas. But not about concepts.

Physics really is about having a good cheat sheet, knowing how to understand the question and not typing anything wrong into your calculator.

It is truly the worst subject I have encountered.

Hey guys, any advice of how much 'getting ahead' i should be doing in the summer holidays? I'm doing spesh, physics, accounting and mainstream eng., so i was thinking of finishing as much as i can, of the spesh & physics course and read my selected text for english. Should I do any more work in the hols.?
