Now the homework is coming in. I just had to write a 400 word Italian essay due tomorrow. =_= That alone took me two hours. :S

I swear for VCE you only need about 200-300 words! Why so many??

also, welcome, Romaboy!

Up until this year, we've had a 'Personal Development' period, which was mainly used for assemblies but sometimes we got free study as well. This year, I have free periods on Friday period 6 and Wednesday period 6 (yay 2:30 finish! :D) and I have a timetabled Personal Development period on Thursday period 4. Yesterday, this happened to turn into a free period but it won't always be the case. Although, the Friday period 6 free is used for Unit 3&4 SACs, so I'll lose a couple of them over the year. :/

Tell me about it!! I'm actually looking forward to the weekend so I can study....
I literally slept on Sunday night and woke up a different person ... Surprisingly, its really enjoyable though - with the exception of Physics, I really am loving everything I'm doing

I need to decide whether to choose Specialist or Italian for Year 12. :/

My physics book still hasn't arrived from the supplier! GRR!!! This, combined with a poor teacher, is making it far less enjoyable than I would have hoped. I've found everything else very interesting though. :)

but I know you're italian, so maybe both?

also: get it from the library/borrow a textbook disc from your friends?

At this stage I want to do Engineering at Monash and the prerequisites are Physics, Chemistry and Methods, but you have to do a bridging course if you didn't do Specialist. I enjoy both Italian and Specialist equally at the moment, so I'm going to let my marks dictate my choice.

I've borrowed an old (read: ancient) book from the teacher. I can't wait for my own copy to arrive though. :/

I'm going for Spesh for ... Wait for it ... The SCALING!!!
Couldn't you possibly do both and get rid of Physics or something?
When's your first Further SAC Stick and s...?
Edit: you posted while I was writing, I guess you need physics then... So yeah, base your decision on performance

Specialist does scale more than Italian, oddly enough. I'm not one that's going to choose a subject for its scaling though. :P

My first official SAC is 5 weeks away, even though our class has almost finished the Geometry and Trigonometry module (yes, our school didn't start with Data Analysis for some reason :S).

Yeah, I wouldnt choose a subject I hate and know I wouldn't do well in just for the scaling ...
Mine on the CORE is in two weeks but I'm pretty cool about it - LOL I don't know how to stress unless I've misplaced or broken something - is this normal?
My teacher told us she isnt allowed to- school policy - tell us our mark or ranking for some reason ... This really scares me because I'm going to go through the whole year in oblivion as to how I'm performing :S we just get an ambiguous high (70-100) medium or low...
Are your teachers (speaking to everyone here) giving out marks?
