Good :)
How are you?

I'm surprised this thread has lasted 86 pages.

What did people expect would become of this thread? :P
A mix of jokes and support and complaining about the horrors of VCE by a whole load of awesome people I would have never met in real life.

Which it is.

Hi hows it going?

Welcome! :)

Vashappenin, you're very lucky in regards to your English teacher. I don't have such resources at my disposal and I'd like to work on my English skills very actively over the next 12 months.

Me: HOORAY! No more exams until next year! No more classes! No more homework!

Mum: Start reading your chemistry textbook.

I thought VCAA assessors were not permitted to be teaching VCE level english? Or was that the people who make the prompts?

Regardless, I echo the words of Stick, you and your classmates are incredibly lucky!! Make good use of her skillz! :P

My English teacher (who I had this year as well) in my opinion is definitely one of the best in state. Whether this is because the other teachers in my school I've heard aren't that good, I'm not sure. He's incredibly passionate about English in every class, has high expectations for us and does everything in his power to get the best out of us. It just saddens me that half the class probably won't realise this and waste an opportunity of being taught by such a great teacher.

He's one of those rare teachers where you feel privileged to be taught by, and want to excel, not only for your own benefit, but as a thank you for all the effort he's put in.
Sounds incredibly cheesy, but it's 100% true.
Far too many teacher take their role as a job, which it isn't.

Hopefully we all have teachers that make us feel this way (and to make me sound not like an idiot)!

Only those who write the exam can't teach yr12 level of that subject.

So who are the examiners? Are examiners assessors? The yr 12 teachers who correct?

Examiners are indeed assessors. The people who write the exams can't teach.

What did people expect would become of this thread? :P

I expected it to become your personal diary, no joke, given that you were posting every second or third message detailing the most random facts of your daily life for a while there.

But it's good that that's stopped and that others are starting to contribute more now.

This is how I feel for Methods and Specialist. My teacher is simply amazing. Even for my other subjects, my teachers aren't bad. However, I think I'll invest in an English tutor next year to ensure the best chance of success. Doing well in English is particularly important for students who have completed all three maths subjects.

I'm doing all three in one year! Doing just two is too mainstream. :P

You do realise that only 2 math subjects will be in your top four, right?

They gave us each a special bag to put all our holiday homework in. 'Nuff said?

To be honest, year 12 will be fine, my teachers are fine and I will try hard.  Right now though, I want nothing more than to hone my Mariokart skills and go jogging and eat pizza and read John Green with a tissue box beside me and go to movies and see 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' and become employed and other cool things you can do in the time that is not school. ^_^
